Add Custom Combatant
Instructions
Adding Combatants
- + Quick Add — Adds a generic NPC with default stats.
- + Add Monster — Browse the monster database (3,100+ monsters). Filter by source, type, and CR. Preview stat blocks before adding.
- + Add Saved — Add from your saved NPC templates.
- Use the Add Custom Combatant form for full control over name, stats, icon, and color.
Running Combat
- Use Prev / Next to advance turns. The active card auto-expands.
- Click any stat (name, AC, HP, Dmg, Init) to edit it directly.
- Click the icon to change icon and color.
- Drag the handle (⠿) to reorder combatants.
Dice, Resources & Status
- Type a dice formula (e.g.
2d6+4) and press Roll. Use Adv/Dis/Crit toggles for modified rolls. - Pin formulas as quick-roll buttons for repeated use.
- Track resources (spell slots, abilities) and status conditions per combatant.
Bench & Templates
- Bench a combatant to remove from initiative without deleting. Restore anytime.
- Save as Template to reuse a combatant across encounters.
- Stat Block button appears on monsters added from the database.
Save & Load
- Export saves the full encounter (combatants, bench, tags, templates) as JSON.
- Load restores a previously exported encounter.
